The CITB Test is also known as CITB Health, safety and Environment Test or CITB Touch Screen Test. This test was created to ensure that all individuals working in the construction industry have a basic understanding of health and safety regulations and practices. The test is regularly updated to ensure that the knowledge and safety regulations are up to date and in line with the latest industry standards. The CITB Test or Health Safety And Environment Test is a multiple-choice exam that assesses any tradesperson’s health, safety, and environment knowledge in the construction industry.
The CITB Test is a mandatory exam for anyone looking to obtain a CSCS card. This exam is designed to assess an individual’s understanding of health and safety regulations that are relevant to the construction industry. This test takes 45 minutes and has 50 questions. The CITB touch screen test is broadly categorized into 3 categories and same are listed below:
CITB Test Categories
The CITB Operatives Test is based on the Health, safety and Environment knowledge conducted by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB). The test must be completed within 45 minutes. The pass marks are 90%. Candidate has to answer 45 questions correctly out of 50.
The CITB specialists test covers topics contained in the Operatives test as well as relevant questions in the chosen specialist area. The pass marks is 90%. The test covers topics such as health and safety regulations, risk assessment, working with others, and the use of tools and equipment.
This Test is conducted by the Construction Industry Training Board covering the section around Legal & Management, Health & Welfare, General Safety, High-risk activities, Environmental-Specialist activities. The pass score for the test is 92%. Candidates have to answer 46 questions correctly out of 50.
